March 31, 201510 yr My son was born two weeks ago (I'm British, my girlfriend is from Laos). The hospital (Pattaya Memorial) say they have submitted the paperwork and we can pick up the Thai birth certificate from City Hall. According to the slip I've been given, all we need to bring are our passports. Do I need a translation of the passport, or any other documentation? I have limited time, so I don't want to get turned away! Thanks.
March 31, 201510 yr I would think that the hospital already has submitted the translation (the birth certificate is in Thai only) of your passports and you merely pick the document up.
April 1, 201510 yr Hi, i just gave birth 3 weeks ago and i would like to process my baby birth certificate in Bangkok since the hospital didnt do it. May i know what documents should i prepare? (Both parents are aliens). Thanks alot
April 2, 201510 yr Author Turned up at Pattaya City Hall today at 10am, just with my UK passport and my girlfriend's Laos passport, exactly 2 weeks after the birth of my son at Pattaya Memorial, and walked out with the birth certificate within 20 minutes. The car park was almost full and there was little signage in English, but all in all it was painless.

April 4, 201510 yr Author No not Thai, as no Thai parents. He'll be stateless until I get him a UK passport (which is not straightforward as I was not born in the UK) or he gets Laotian nationality through his mother, but that's not straightforward as she is unmarried and the father is a foreigner which is against Laos law.
