Know Any Sites For Testing Connection Speed?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any sites that allow you to check your connection speed? Keep in mind that I am in Thailand. Google has many sites that offer the service, but you have to be in the US or Canada or Singapore or Taiwan or just about anywhere except Thailand.

JJ's link is one of the better one's

I use pcpitstops test as well

http://www.pcpitstop.com/internet/Bandwidth.asp

Both tests give results very close to the advertised speed of my connection (256/56 on iptv)

I guess the backbone of the Thai internet simply can't cope with the sudden rise in popularity of faster internet packages...

This link should answer your question, wherever you are and whatever connection you are using.

Thanks Kandt. I come in at a less than impressive 32kbps. This tt&t deal has got to be an improvement.

Two weeks ago I was told 'next week'. Last week I was told 'before Sunday'. Yestrday I am told 'probably Monday'. Welcome to Thailand.

I also use something called NetMedic. Gives pretty good stats on the Network and internal network speed. It used to be free but I think the company called Vitalsigns was bought out by Network Associates. You can still find a free copy though- just Google it.
