fullcave
After reading the last few posts from Thai visa, it looks to have been a pretty grim few days in Pattaya ! Interesting he came into the store begging for help they came in and dragged him out. Not a cop in sight. Welcome to Pattaya!
nontabury
Another farang who thinks hes 10 foot tall and bulletproof. If he had have kept is mouth shut and smiled like most of us, i am pretty sure he could have staggered home. Full marks for at least wearing a shirt. You were there and saw the entire thing no doubt. Your are right i did jump to conclusions, there is always two sides two an argument an no excuse for 3 Thais to beat him up. Well done! kwassuie, it takes a big man, to admit when they made a mistake.
Si Thea01
I know many think this is paradise but sure sounds like hell now. What has been added to the water or is there something in the air. It is hard to fathom why so much anger abounds and is being expressed on a daily basis. And it is not restricted to any one nationality.
Baerboxer
More mob violence by a group of Thais. Another drunken idiot getting what he deserves. Drunks can be offensive, passive, a nuisance or source of amusement. Whichever they are, they don't deserve to be criminally assaulted by 3 thugs. People also behave differently when on holiday and somehow have the impression all locals will tolerate any behavior they indulge in as they're "on holiday". They won't of course but again, not an excuse for criminal assault by a gang on one person.
smotherb
True, but how do u know the guy was to blame just coz he was intoxicated. He was attacked by a group of cowardly Thai guys who go around looking for trouble a lot of the time. Another farang who thinks hes 10 foot tall and bulletproof. If he had have kept is mouth shut and smiled like most of us, i am pretty sure he could have staggered home. Full marks for at least wearing a shirt. just before 3.30am on Saturday = for sure a quality tourist How do you equate 3:30am with the jibe "quality tourist"? Why do so many of you losers sit on this forum all day and talk out of your ass? You read a story and then invent the facts to suit your replies! GRAVEL PIT? Thats generally a good paying job you dick! It may be a good payng job, if he has a skill, but it does not mean he has any brains.

He wasn't smiling enough so the wonderful hospitable Thais beat him senseless. Lucky he was wearing a shirt, they would have been justified in killing him had he been shirtless.
gemguy
It is always recommended that the foreigners smile and walk away from any problems evolving Why do we never hear the same recommendation made for the Thais ???? Cheers

Popular Post MadDog2020
It's truly amazing how many on this forum condone this violent behavior against anyone. Drunk or not, tourist or not, Thailand or not it simply does not matter. The fact that many of you are blaming the victim you are condoning the violence against another person. The fact that this is NOT an isolated incident says a great deal about how unsafe it is. Maybe the PM can concentrate some quality time on cleaning this type of behavior to allow the tourists to feel safe to return to Thailand.

hawksway
Moderate the booze, moderate the language, keep away from the low life and you are unlikely to have trouble anywhere in Thailand, let alone Pattaya.

No one is condoning violence whether it comes from locals or tourists, although some only choose to focus on one. Thailand is a lot safer than most English provincial towns and cities in the small hours of the morning on a Saturday! NoshowJones
More mob violence by a group of Thais. Another drunken idiot getting what he deserves. So he deserves the 3-1 odds against him? If he was drunk, and causing trouble, it should be easy for someone to sort him out by themselves, and not asking his mates for help, but that's not the way it's done in Thailand, is it? NoshowJones
There is no perfect country in the world for anyone to feel safe at night or day 99.9% of the time, it is safe to walk about as long as you are sober, do not cause any trouble and mind your own business. This would especially apply to Thailand.

By not placing the blame directly on the person or persons that beat this man. Your choice blame the victim and condone the violence or be part of the solution and speak out against violence.
Popular Post Eaglekott
This guy look very like a britt behaving very bad at the BTS here in Bangkok not long time ago. (OBS I don't claim its the same guy) I was standing in the train, and the door closing alarms beeped and the doors started to shut. The guard from some distance out side started to blow his whistle like crazy and then this guy just managed to get his both hands in between the doors and with brutal force he threw them open. I thought the doors were broken after the bang created when he opened them. Inside the train he started to curse a lot and complaining what idiot the driver was trying to close the doors in his face. And I was thinking of telling him that there is another train in about 3 minutes. But I didn't. A few stations later he go out of the train, then he walks out in a very slow speed and people is starting to enter the train, Then with his elbows pointing out to the sides, he wiggled more sideways than he walked forward and then he started his cursing again. Now about the bad Thai people that didn't wait outside and let him out before they start to enter the train. Also I want to mention that I do not have anything against British people, and I believe every single nationality has people that behaves very bad some times, and lucky they are in a minority, but is the ones you notice.
