Ex-Pheu Thai MP says it is too soon to blame red shirts for Samui car bomb attack



BANGKOK: -- Former Pheu Thai MP for Samut Prakan Worachai Hema said it was too premature for government officials to conclude that an arrested red-shirt member was linked to the car bomb explosion at Central Festival shopping mall in Samui on April 10.

The suspect, Mr Narin Umnongbua, was arrested by the police and military personnel in Nonthaburi because of a message he posted in his Facebook page indicating that he knew something about the attack in advance.

Worachai said that investigators must come up with solid evidences to link Narin to the car bomb incident and not just the message in the social media. He added that it was not possible for the attack to be committed by just one person.

The ex-MP said Narin might have posted the message to seek publicity of himself.

so far they have come up with a <deleted> that publicly claims prior knowledge of the attack, Who in their right mind would do that if it was true??? although this bloke must be two sandwiches short of a picnic, but being a complete fool is not evidence.

having lived on Samui for some time there is plenty of violence to go round even without political issues.

I do hope they get the people that did it and throw then in the slot for life...

Blinkered conclusion with Sansern already pointing fingers without evidence or proof. Just don't made sense for the Reds perpetractor to steal a pick up in Yala, evade all the tight checkpoints and hired the south insurgents to hook up the bomb. Wouldn't it be easier to steal a car in Surat and hook up a relatively simple gas cylinder detonator. The north accent is also very distinctive from the south and people can differentiate and provide information to the law. Well unless the south have red cells and that is a game changer.

He has not been arrested in connection with the Samui bomb but in relation to the Surat Thani fires as he had posted on his site regarding trouble in Surat Thani and not Samui.

The ex MP who if I remember correctly was also an ex red shirt leader, has come out and connected the arrested gent with something he has not at present been officially linked to.

Was said to be connected with the fires in Surat Thani.
