Good evening!

Forget money in my room or minishop or stolen in night bus.
All cash and debit cards.

Please any advice, what to do.
I got sort of stress and less ability to think good...

Thx!

  1. Police report
  2. Contact banks / card companies, cancel cards arrange replacements
  3. Contact friends / relatives for a cash advance via Western Union to keep you going

Remember for next time, don't keep all your cash and cards in one place.

Not necessarily in this order:

Go to a police station and file a police report, you'll need that to prove loss in the case of your debit/credit cards and any insurance you may have.

Contact your embassy and seek advice.

Contact friends and or family to arange short term finance.

Others will no doubt add to the list.

Good luck.

Yeah, report is good idea, Thx! Should to make it finally, tomorrow.
I guess - lost/forget - in Pattaya, Monday, 20.04 but search for this cash/cards only arrived to ChiangMai from Ayuttaya, Wed, 22.04.

So, actually i don't know which step of trip it happened, but still 80% - forget in room, owner said - there was nothing, i trust her, btw.

Block card... also i should do that.. i move all balance, but it's needed to do.

And embassy, i'll call now, thx!

Hope i'm last, cause too weird feeling.

If you have not lost your passport by now.. you could Western Union yourself some money.

Lost my card when I was in Vietnam called bank and cancelled card.. then they did a western union transfer for me.

A bit too late for you but I found it useful when I travel to carry two wallets. One with a bit of cash, a debit card with limited amount available and a similar credit card that I carried in my pocket and an other one with everything else in a separate place. It has the double advantage that you won't find yourself pennyless if you lose your wallet and if you are mugged you can hand over the first wallet to the robber without too much regret.

That's also a good idea when you hit the bar. And to avoid keeping the house keys together with documents with your home address. Same don't attach your home keys with your car key when you give your car to the valet parking.
