PATTAYA: -- On Monday Morning a suspected motorbike thief, who was in a heavily intoxicated state, was arrested meters away from where he stole a motorbike parked in front of Central Pattaya Repair Shop.

Police were called to the Shop on Pattaya 3rd Road in front of Soi 9 and arrested Khun Napa aged 25, who had sustained facial injuries during his detention by members of the public, approximately 300 meters away from where he is alleged to have stolen the bike from.

The owner of the Yamaha Fino Bike is Khun Suganya aged 36. She had parked outside of the shop and left her bike unattended but crucially she left the key inside the ignition.

Let this be a warning to all would be thieves: no drinking while at work!

And why was the owner too lazy to remove the key from the ignition. Jeez, it isn't that difficult.

Those drunken motorbikes will be safe for another day.

And why should the owner have to worry about theft? Jeez, it isn't that difficult to not be a drunken thief.

Unfortunately in this day and age you do not have to worry about some one stealing your bike if left with the key in the ignition, you can be pretty sure your bike will be gone!

I love this bit "...who had sustained facial injuries during his detention by members of the public..." So innocently worded. biggrin.png .

Erm, are you new to this planet? cheesy.gif

... just another attempt for 'dumbest post o.t. month' and indeed a promising candidate - but nuthin' new in this (nut)case.

In numerous places leaving the key stuck is considered >invitation to theft<, as such a misdemeanor and one can speak of luck if he can just pick up the keys (plus corresponding lecture of course) at the next policestation instead of gettin' fined by the book.
