What (if any) AirPrint printers are available in Thailand? Any recommendations?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My wife's printer has just died and I'm hoping to replace it with an AirPrint compatible one in order to be able to print directly from various i devices

Ideally I'd be looking for a colour laser jet print with an integrated scanner - it doesn't have to be a turbo fast printer

Does anyone know or have experience of any products that meet this criteria?

Thanks in advance

My printing needs are fairly simple, and infrequent, so I just bought the Canon M3570 ink jet printer/scanner with AirPrint - and it works as expected.

My only gripes with AirPrint from iOS is that you have no control over page orientation, print quality, or color/B&W - no matter what you're printing, it will rotate & scale to use as much of the A4 page as possible, and therefore, as much ink as possible.

Outside of that it's great. We print from OSX, Windows, and iOS using a printer that's *never* been plugged into a computer's USB port ;)

i have a MG3570 as well

a great piece of printer .. everything is basically perfect .. BUT i would not tell anyone to buy it.

the running costs are outrages, the ink is basically always empty and it costs a fortune to replace them ...

it does work with refill's but the quality is way down and the printer always show empty tanks.

so for VERY LITTLE Printing .. with zero efforts on drivers an compatiblity to anything .. this is the perfect machine ..

but anything more then 30 pages/month better get something else ..

i also looking arround for something better ... (prefered laser)

Thanks for the feedback - sounds like a laser jet version of the MG3570 would be good :)

The dead printer is an ink jet and I don't like the issue with ink jets where if you're not regularly printing (or running the test page through) the ink can clog up in the jets

Cannon printers dont have the clogging problem, but create a couterproblem, as the cleaning costs wY too much ink and on 500 somethings for 1 color this does hurt!

I bought a Cannon MG3570 earlier this year and had tanks fitted instead of using cartridges and I am very happy with it, does not use a lot of ink but then again I only print a couple of pages a week. I can use it from my I Pad, I phone and laptop , no cables, if I want something special, size, orientation etc then I just access the desktop programme on my laptop.

Thanks for the feedback - sounds like a laser jet version of the MG3570 would be good smile.png

Unless you want to print photos - I've never seen an affordable laser that printed a good photo...

Check your current printer manufacturers website. I found I could install new firmware on an older printer, download the printer company's app, and print like it was an air printer. Checking will cost nothing.
