My friend met a thai lady in the UK, they move here to Thiland recently. He though everything was ok despite the rumours. He dropped everything for her and her son. She had done the most unthinkable thing it cant be discussed here.

What hes more ashamed of is the people here who said beware. He defended his girlfriend all the time stating that everything is fine. He's now at breaking point.

So as some have said here. Beware.

The picture in the link is Dave Thailand's avatar; must be from a TV show or something. Interesting article that no doubt applies to many expats around. I think there's more Brits married to Thais than anyone else. I gave up signing marriage contracts 10 years ago at age 35 after signing 2 of them. Not sure what the fascination is with them other than making your visa situation easier

For 1650 GBP a man would be better off getting a cheap return flight to Thailand (500 GBP) then enjoying three weeks in a nice hotel (250 GBP) and then enjoy three weeks of food, beer and female company (900GBP) and I am sure (he) could find a wife for himself in those said three weeks.

Lawrence Lynch ,he was the guy on the Louis Theraux documentary about BKK marriage bureaus on UK TV some years back .He made a complete fool of himself so i recall. a few other marriage bureaus were seen on the programe with Louis letting them make a fool of themselves.

The way things are going half of issan women will be living in the UK soon, with all the attendant divorces and unpleasant court proceedings .
