Multiple Entry Visas

Featured Replies

Hi

Was hoping someone could give me some advice. The 2nd week in October I'm planning to go to Penang to get a multiple entry tourist visa for Thailand. How is it now in Penang? Anyone experienced problems getting these? Also, am I only allowed a maximum of 4 of this type of visa? If i return to the UK after I have used up the 4 given, would i be allowed to apply for a years visa next time or alternatively would i be able to carry on with the 30 day/border hop tourist visas?

The alternative is for me to go on holiday for 2 weeks to Vietnam and i thought about trying the Thai embassy there. Has anyone obtained a multiple entry tourist visa from Vietnam? Is it more difficult there, than in Penang?

Sorry, have lots of questions!!!

Thanks, Louise.

Firstly, there is not such thing as a multiple entry tourist visa (one that you can enter and leave an unlimited number of times in a set period).

Penang is the best place in Asia to get double or triple entry tourist visa. However, if you review past posts you will see that they are not allows reliable in granting them.

If you do go back to the UK then you should be able to obtain a one year multiple entry non-immigrant visa without difficulty from the consular in Hull (The London embassy will not help). This will allow stays of 90 days at a time

Hey

I can confirm that Hull is by far and away the best Consulate I have ever dealt with anywhere in the world.

The Hon Consul is a guy called Alan Taylor and he is very, very helpful. He has no problem issuing Non Imm. Multi Entry Viasa by mail with a turnround of 24 hours.

They have a website, here is the address Thai Consul Hull I am sure this is far and away the easiest route, if you are thinking of returning to the UK.

Kind regards

Peter

Hi

Thanks for your reply about the Hull Thai embassy. That's good to hear.

The only other question i have is what if i want to stay here and not have to go back to the UK just to sort a visa out. What are my options for surrounding countries? My partner is here and i don't want to go back to the UK if i can help it, just to sort a visa out. It would be rather costly.

I understand the rules on visas are changing all the time and I have done many border runs now so i wish to stay for longer but legally! I can't get a work permit, so what's my other options.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Louise.
