Hi All. Just returned from Pai, and missing Thailand already. Whilst I was there I was in a restaurant and was served some wonderful "Chips", that I was told were vegetarian and made from a bean. Tow Hu??? Can anybody help me find out what these are and whether I can buy them in the uk

Many thanks.

For those that may be confused, "Chips" to a Brit are "French fries" to others, as "Chips" to Americans are "Crisps" to Brits.

Both made from potatoes (a vegetable last time I looked). Of course, the best English chips are those deep fried in a chippy, in beef dripping.

Tofu

Dried and fried

Or can be baked for a healthier version.

I suggest the OP searches for "tofu chips" or "tofu crisps". Plenty of recipes out there on the web.
