adammann Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I use kefir grains, in milk, for my health. I wish to bring these into Thailand when I arrive by plane. If I declare that I have these (I would be carrying them in a sandwich bag on my person), can I legally bring them in through Suvarnabhumi airport? Thanks in advance.
KhunBENQ Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 No idea about the legality. But honestly you would be the unlucky guy of the month to be fined for bringing in kefir grains. Don't declare. If they stop a farang at all, then they hope to find excessive amount of liquor, cigarettes etc. What nationality/ethnic are you? Sorry sounds racist, but thats one of the criteria to be stopped by customs.

KhunBENQ Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I hope you get more response, but I can only repeat don't worry. Go through the green channel.
LindaLovelace Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm with the guy that said don't declare it. Why raise a red flag? If you don't want to bother, get here, then PM me and I'll send you some.
worgeordie Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 The customs most likely would not know what it is,then the hassles will begin. just walk on bye, regards worgeordie
Crossy Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 You will likely have more trouble with the airport security at your departure location (and any transfer airports). Mysterious substance in plastic bag being carried on! Pack it in your checked baggage and don't worry about it. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
