Stupid 14yo kid next door has had 2 motorbike accidents showing off and totalled his parents bike which they can't afford to fix. Also cost them to fix the bike he hit. Theyre poor as church mouse and that was their only mode of transport. His bigger brother and wife have just turned up and lent him their new bike. Theyre paying it off and are poorer than the parents! The kids been out doing lappies up and down all afternoon showing off. Hit a fence. Now he has their 2 yo daughter on the front of it. I guess it would be "bad luck" if there was some terrible accident

Nothing surprises me about parents, kids and motorbikes here in Thailand. The nicest people, but their mentality sure sucks.

Without adding the obvious of stupid in - we all know how that kid is going to die and leave his family with a funeral they also can't afford....

Giving these bikes more HP isn't helping either.....A couple of years ago with less powerful bikes most everyone knew the pecking order and the bikes stayed to the left in a steady predictable stream......Now - every day their cutting the lanes faster than traffic and passing traffic in greater numbers on the left - missing catching their handle bar grips on mirrors and turning themselves into under the rear wheels....

Today we were driving down the canal road and two medium sized bikes passed with only a few feet between them and an oncoming 2 trailer semi....I told the wife/kids all he had to do was missjudge - clip our fender and it would have put him right into the semi.....

Sure enough about 10 minutes later we hit slow traffic with the bike on the extreme right side of the road with the seat pinned to the guard rail wheels out backwards on the road.....did not look like a rider walking around so am guessing he flew over the rail and ended about 25' down in the canal.....

I mentioned the other day maybe time to get a motorbike for the 14 year old for school.....We've decided it's just not safe and we'll let her use the extra car that we don't use much....

He's gotta run out of family motorcy's soon....they will all be just pile of junk in the front garden, maybe they could make one good bike out of all the spares...maybe not. Little <deleted> <deleted>

Are u joking? People laugh at me and my missus here all the time tell us u don't need helmets in the country. My wife actually felt embarrassed and I literally had to insist she wear one until she saw the lady head on victim....or should i say head off victim. Apart from various limbs and body parts scattered over 50m we actually saw her head separated from the body squashed on the road like it had been done with a rolling pin. Don't need to tell her anymore

Why do you care about what this kid does?

I could ask u why you care what I write? It wud be of about as much value....

Apart from the annoyance factor of the noise of the motorbike and the constant honking of the horn.....The little girl spends quite a lot of time at our house and we are concerned for her safety, as well as believe it or not the dumb 14yo

Hey Possum1931,

Noticed an "interesting" number of posts from you. The last one being number: 7,777 . Now MY Wife will probably reckon you ought to go buy a lottery ticket with ALL the Sevens in it.

Hope you win...commission for me if you do!

Wise choice on your part. NO WAY would I let my 15 Y.O. Daughter on a motor bike and I'm glad to say she loathes them too.

Worked in News all my life and I've forgotten just how many dead and maimed people I have seen as a result of Motorcycle accidents.

I've forgotten the NUMBERS but NOT the Faces, well at least those who still had a face!

Just asking what your actual concerns are, no need to get bunched up.

Good luck being the savior of rural teens and abolishing loud motorcycles and the honking of horns by 14 year old "dumb" boys.

And would is not spelled wud.

Walking with my daughters yesterday we almost got run over by a teen who was kissing his girlfriend (she was in front of him but half turned around) while going very fast around a blind curve. He had another passenger behind him who appeared oblivious.

I was reckless as a teen, but in comparison to here...

Nice of you to say so, but apart from my health, I don't have much luck in my life. I don't even know how to do the Thai lottery.

Torrens54, I asked my wife to buy me a lottery ticket, but she says there are none with all the sevens on it, so bang goes your commission.

Are you any smarter than the 14 year old stupid kid? Thinking of getting a motor bike for your 14 year old, decide it's too dangerous so give the girl a car instead. She is still 14 years old.

It is a open restaurant (just a roof and open on two sides), not indoors

In Be we have even restaurants where they serve dogs too. And not the cheepest ones.

Can't call you a dummy because I was not clear when I posted - but nothing for her until legal driving age and then through stages of proven responsibility and guidance....Just considering ahead of time.....

Forgoten to tell that we sit at the last table to the largest open side. The dogs laid between the table and the(blind)soi.
