'Free Zone' area to be promoted at airport to reduce im-export products

President of Airports of Thailand Plc. Chotisak Asapaviriya (โชติศักดิ์ อาสภวิริยะ) believes that “Free Zone” in Suvarnabhumi Airport will help reduce cost for importers, exporters, and product dealers in shipping their goods.

He gave a speech during a seminar concerning the development and the capability in providing services to customers and spoke about the “Free Zone,” a theory meant to reduce the cost of import-export.

He said that AOT is preparing to provide more space to store goods waiting to be transported, adding that its conclusion is nearly complete.

He informed that the airport is only 25 km. away from Bangkok; therefore, AOT plans to link all transportation routes within Suvarnabhumi Airport to facilitate the transportation of products.
