I've wondered about that too. Well, there are possibilities. Let's see.. First, Thaksin may have shut it down. It might have jumped off the balcony of a tall Pattaya skyscraper. Is there a new law in Thailand against having a farang name?

I think it changed it's name to "Untamed Travel". I didn't read it before, but it seems like it is spread a little too thinly - it's about all of SE Asia now.

Yes, Farang Magazine it is now called Untamed Travel.

Have to agree. When it was still "Farang Magazine" it was an excellent read, aimed primarily at Thailand. No it's just so-so.

I used to always get a copy when I ventured into Bangers, now I don't bother.

UPDATE: Untamed Travel (formerly Farang magazine) appears to be no longer available.

I tried both Bookazine and Asia books this week who normally stock the magazine and it wasn't available - they informed me that they hadn't received any copies for a couple of months now.

Also, Metro magazine appears to have disappeared from the shelves.

Anyone have any info?

I heard a rumour about Untamed.............. some new owners.............

Metro magazine I think has closed down.

OP, depending on what you're after you may want to try:

Bangkok 101 available Kinokuniya, Asiabooks etc.

BK magazine: weekly freebie found in e.g. au bon pain, starbucks

Guru magazine: weekly with Bangkok Post on Fridays (I think)
