GLO enters agreement with PTT to allow lottery sales at PTT petrol stations



BANGKOK: -- Government Lottery Office (GLO) signed an agreement with Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT Plc) today to allow lottery vendors to sell lottery tickets at all 400 PTT petrol stations nationwide.

The signing of the agreement between GLO director Maj Gen Chalongrat Nark-Arthit and PTT executive Chavalit Panathong was witnessed by GLO board chairman Maj Gen Apirat Kongsompong, and PTT chief operation officer Sarun Rungkasiri.

Under the agreement signed, PTT will arrange space at its petrol stations to allow underprivileged and handicapped lottery vendors to sell lottery tickets at government controlled price free of charges for one year, said Mr Charun.

Lottery vendors who are selected and registered by the GLO to sell lottery tickets must strictly abide by the government’s order to sell at 80 baht, GLO director Maj Gen Chalongrat said.

The selection of lottery vendors joining the scheme will take 2-3 months, he said.

So is really for 8-9 months free rent then they will what, Offer company direct sales or install a computerized system to buy number or start a new state lottery? See the writing on the wall.

Joc.. that might better tell you the possible real plan - as if the PTT needs permission to offer free rental space to anyone, least of all the handicapped or the poor. As their HR has gone so much to help the handicapped that we see them working at every station.

If there is money in it in the future the rich find a toehold to not to look like new comers and to build a bridge before the other get a chance.

& thats with a small population.

Open the door to 65mil people & once PTT takes it off the the disadvantaged & runs themselves money for

the big boys again.
