The late Pip Harris

Featured Replies

This is an inquiry about the late Phillip "Pip" Harris who so sadly passed away 4 or 5 years ago as a result of motorcycle accident in or around Chiang Mai. I am an expat from the UK who has been living in Bangkok for many years. I knew Pip from his days in London when he owned the best Thai restaurant in the UK. This was the Bahn Thai which was located in Marloes Road and then Frith Street. Pip and I corresponded by e-mail and spoke occasionally on the phone during our respective times in Thailand. Pip and I were good chums in London but never managed to meet up in Thailand. He did send me a cool box of the very best English-style sausages I ever tastest. (Pip was a scion of the famous Harris Pork products business, the oldest of its kind in the UK). I know that Pip was very active on ThaiVisa and well known in the CM community. I would like to know if his two children by second wife are doing well and if they still reside in CM. His older children by his first wife (Patrick & his sister whose name escapes me) were, I think, UK-based. Would some kind soul let me know how things are for his family. Thank you. Peter.

I have wondered how his family is doing too. He was a moderator on Thai Visa and his nick was p1p.
