Pattaya Police Investigators “unsure” of necklace snatch complaint

PATTAYA: -- Pattaya Police are investigating a necklace snatch complaint made by a 26 year old Thai man on Friday but are suspicious that the alleged crime may never have taken place.

Khun Sarawut presented himself at the Police Station and claimed that a 10,000 Baht Gold Necklace had been snatched from around his neck and, at gunpoint, his I Mobile Phone was also taken from him.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex in Soi Khopai in South Pattaya and began when Khun Sarawut was asked to take a man, known only as “Dor”, on his motorbike to a location in Central Pattaya, and for this he would be paid for his time and petrol used.

Khun Sawarut accepted the offer and took “Dor” to where he wanted to go and then returned him to the apartment complex in Soi Khopia. For an unexplained reason, Khun Sarawut followed “Dor” to his apartment and inside were 4 men and 1 woman.

Maybe take off the marijuana hat before going to the police to make a complaint..

track his mobile phone ?

Too complicated ... somebody outside would have to show RTP how facepalm.gif

This is fascinating story, maybe the headline should read

The Crime that didn't happen in Pattaya

However there are some tantalizing details which tease the inquiring mind in this case.

The name of the friend 'Dor' - This is a Thai nickname for the male member?

The story being disseminated prior to plod visiting the locus in quo?

The reluctance of the victim to supply details to the police?

The intended purpose of making a charge of theft?

If this is not a crime will the 'victim' be charged with making false claims?
