Because this is a government office and not commercial. Try .go.th

But if you have a question it would be much more likely get a prompt response with personal contact or even a phone call. Email is not normally a viable option for information in Thailand; especially if in English.

For immigration questions you could call or send a email to the Phuket Immigration Volunteers.

As they are foreigners and working at the Immigration office they will have no problems with your questions using English, German, French, Dutch language.

Email and phone number are in the " Tourist Police & Other Important Contact Information " pinned section.

In my opinion Email is the best option to get information.
