"Notes" don't synch automatically....they used to!

Featured Replies

That's it...

I collect Notes on Macbook Air and iPad and it was pretty good that they updated each other and I guess that's called synching.

It's stopped.

On the MBA I went to sys pref > iCloud and Notes is ticked.

On the iPad I went to Settings it says Default acct then gives four options listed below..

an old email address

icloud

my gmail address

On my ipad

It has been defaulted at my gmail address.

Should it be changed to iCloud?

Any danger in this of losing Notes?

ps Looked in a forum and the guy said he simply unticked then reticked Notes on the iPad.

But he said back up your notes first in case.

I'm aware one can email each note individually, but I have hundreds it would be a morning's work.

All help appreciated.

Oh pps

when I changed a note once upon a time it used to automatically send it on an email

I like that.

How does this happen?

Thanks!
