Taps running low at hospital
THE NATION

BANGKOK: -- ONE of the two water suppliers for the Thammasat University Hospital has suspended its operation in the wake of the drought crisis, thus affecting the hospital's water supply.

The hospital is located in Pathum Thani's Khlong Luang district.

"Now, we can only get water from the Provincial Waterworks Authority, so the flow of water from our faucets is rather weak," the hospital's director Dr Chittinad Havanond said.

He said he had told hospital staff to save water, and had reserved 100 barrels each with 150 litres of water.

Pathum Thani farmers, meanwhile, said they were praying hard for rain as the drought was close to ravaging their paddy fields.
