laugh.png next question from giddyup - "how much did you pay for your 60km jump leads.

On a more serious note , I just paid 2100THB for a FB battery on a 5 YO Vigo. They came around and fitted it too, good lads.

A brand battery (Varta) in the Netherlands costs about 80 euro.

When buying you need to know

Size length, width and heigth so it will fit.

plus-pole location, so you cables with fit. Note some batteries have the Plus-pole left, some have them right.

capacity so your car will start.

Most battery shops know what you need if you tell them the brand, model and engine of your car.

Please take your old battery to a carshop so it can be recycled.

2500 is a rule of thumb.

I see that place does Bosch batteries. Are these imported or made in Thailand? If imported, are they made to suit Thai conditions?

I used to buy Bosch batteries in Europe and I found them to be reliable and long-lasting even with winter temperatures regularly going down to -15C (-20C on occasions), but I dont expect that to happen often in Pattaya.

About Bosch.

Obviously manufactured in Thailand:

Automotive components are manufactured in the Amata City Industrial Estate in Rayong,

So you can be assured that they are fit for the local market/conditions, but not "Made in Germany".

GS is offered everywhere.

3K is a supplier for some Mercedes cars (exported from Thailand to Germany).
