Hi folks I am looking for a more cost effective solution to my monthly network/telephone bills

Currently

Windows mobile, AIS. 950 baht. I don't make many calls. (Perhaps 25-30 month)

I.pad True. 1100 baht

Land line. TOT. 450.baht..........I recently cancelled landline wireless with TOT because of poor

Reception & poor service

International calls were through CAT......I now use TOT.......but CAT still charge 75 baht. S/O i guess

Any more suitable suggestions would be most welcome

Many thanks

Do you use much data on your phone, I just use 1-2-call for my phone needs and on the occasions I uses data then just subscribe to the daily data plan *777*209# at 9.63 baht/day (max speed 512Kbps)

I use Sophon for my broadband and Skype for all my international calls ( skype credit) and have dropped my landline services, if people need to call me they call my mobile.

I also only use my i-pad at home so utilise my broadband wifi.

I only use the land line to make and receive International calls.

I accept what you say about using Skype.....

My other problem is neither my Brother or Sister in the UK have computers, so I guess they would be reluctant to make

International calls to a mobile

Also my i.pad gets very slow after a couple of weeks.

To cut down your landline bills I would certainly recommend using Skype to make all outgoing international calls, you do know you can call normal phones if you have Skype credit. Also if you wanted you can but a Skype number based in the UK so your family call a UK number and you receive your call on skype.

?

Windows mobile AIS. 950 Baht for 25 to 30 (domestic calls) per month?

AIS prepaid?

Thats a lot. Are your calls usually very long like half an hour per call?

Just today I changed my prepaid call plan to 1 Baht for first minute and 0.25 Baht for the following minutes.

Half an hour call would cost 8.25 Baht.

For 950 Baht I could do 115 half hour calls per month.

International call can be made through the mobile for the same rates as landline (by using prefixes like 009 for CAT).

What do you need a landline for? FAX?

What countries are you calling usually?

(quoted prices do not include tax, was too lazy to add that 7%)
