^ Yeah I used to have both rear seats out but now we have a big family so we occasionally have more people in the car. Easy enough to get in/out - these seats are clearly an afterthought.

Battery isn't repairs, I've had to change mine pretty much exactly every 2 years, like it says in the manual wink.png

Ok 6 years no repairs. Only 3 in our family that's why both out.

First battery lasted 2 years in mine also. If it goes again try the sealed GS Super Diamond battery my one has lasted 4+ years and still going strong. Cost 3,500bt - 500bt off for the old one. Might be a bit more pricy now though.

Reply to Dellie.

The Ford was fine liked everything about it. Looks are a personal thing. Never liked the old Mitsu because of the big wheel arches & cheap looking kit in the cabin.

At present Ford do seem to have issues with their after sales market.

If I was going to get a new MPV I would plumb for the 3.2 Ford first then closely followed by the 2.8 Toyota. Whatever I would wait some time just to see if there were problems with them. The 3.2 Ranger does have a few problem allegedly gearbox wise.

Just saw the autoblog preview of the Mitsu. Gosh darn is it ugly. The Ford definetely has it beat in the looks department.

Having just come back from the motor show, where I viewed all 4 large MPV's Mitsu Ford Toyota MUX I thought that none of them were pretty. Just built to do a job.

All had their good points also problems. The major thing about the Mitsu was the build quality with their seats the outstanding one. If they lasted 5 years I would be surprised.

How your butt/legs would feel after a long run Buddha only knows, I wanted to get out after a few minutes just sitting on the drivers one. Bottom swab was much to small for me and I'm less than 6' if your tall large framed you'll be buggered.

I find the seats on the old PS uncomfortable after 30 minutes. I had hoped the new model would be an improvement.

Really?

I think the Ford looks quite good. I would never buy one but it looks alot better than the mitsu.

Not not really - he owns an ancient Fortuner Sportivo and is just in denial :)

And even then, only a few will be delivered this month - most recent bookings won't be delivered until >= October

Went into Ford Phuket last week and asked "if I book today when can I get car?"

Answer: "Five or maybe six months".

I was genuinely interested in checking it out, but after hearing it would take that long it's more or less off my list.

Everest bookings have been open for almost 4 months now.... the last I heard (a week or so ago) is that new bookings should still be able to be fulfilled in Oct/Nov (i.e. when the 'Tuna and PJS also deliver), but anything could have changed I guess.

Edit: There are some Ford dealers advertising cancelled bookings (i.e. available vehicles) on the Thai language Everest Club forums, but they go pretty quickly. Another avenue would be to call Ford HO and ask them to find a dealer that still has an allocation for delivery this year.

Edit 2: Yep, just got a confirmation: unless you can find a dealer with a cancelled booking, it's next year for the 3.2L Titanium+

Just got back from our dealer ( went to pick up the paperwork to allow us to get the Fiesta number plate and blue book ... then can claim the 20K extra when the Everest comes. He has had delivered Everest vehicles Nos 1 and 2. I saw the list .. ours is No4, the next 3.2L ... he says next month 'hopefully' but can't give a date. He did say that they have had a few cancellations.

Maybe some silly person changed to a tuna ... woops.

Had a vey short drive in a new Ranger ...madam is happy as the steering is very light at low speed.

More likely they changed to a PJS, but in any case, someone else has got lucky wink.png
