Dear all,

as new ones seeming to be sky rocket pricy - looking for above mention 2nd hand staff in/around Pattaya, should be decent quality, brand named equipment and lasting at least a couple of years. Thanks for your input

From time to time you see equipment for sale at the second hand shops on third road. When Wow closed up they had a lot , but Tonys bought most of it, Not an easy thing to find.

Id check with some of the smaller gyms in the area except Tony's, there at least 4 i can think of.

good luck

Tony bought most of California Wow's gear? Really? I've never seen any of it at Tony's. Where did he hide it?

Have a look on Craigslist. Last time I looked last week there was a nearly brand new condition, Concept2 Model D for sale at 30k. It's a steal at that price.

There is a shop at the top of Pattaya Tai at the Sukhumvit end ..... if you just go past Big C and take that shortcut to Tai it's on the corner I bought a second hand multi gym from them a few years ago ;)

Thanks - do you might have a link to the craigslist item? I couldn't find it...

I checked but couldn't find it. It was an amazing deal, so I'm not surprised it has been sold. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

Maybe he keeps them in the warehouse as a mould for all the copy machines he has.

He purchased many of their Star Trac treadmills and in then quickly proceeded to destroy them. They were getting long in the tooth and Cal Wow was having issues with them. Treadmills without maintenance have a short life span and Tony's sweltering heat doesn't help. I've left the treadmills looking like they were dipped in the pool.

My in laws run a specialist new and second hand fitness machine company. They are in Bangkok but spend a lot of time in Pattaya / Chon Buri as well. Not only do they sell them, but they service as well. If you want, PM me your budget and I'll get them to get in contact with you. The benefit with them is that the machine you buy if second hand would be completely renovated to almost as new quality.

"PM me your budget"? That's not the best way to get a deal.

So you would prefer that I waste my time getting a load of stuff not in budget, or he wastes his time with a load of stuff not in budget?

Who cares about your time? If you're the seller, it's your job to spend time on the sale....A buyer is just interested in his deal. Telling a seller your budget is not a good way to shop for anything. Telling someone your budget is a good way to get screwed on price as the seller knows how much someone is likely to spend. Often people are flexible on budget if you get them excited about what they can buy.

A price list is a good start.
