My IPad 2 displays a low memory message frequently, it is also turning itself off often, how do I reset the IPad back to when it was new? my pad does not have a lot on it so I'm thinking it's all the updates that have depleted the memory, surely I don't have to buy a new pad!!

Thought it was sorted but it's no different, how do I sort out this low memory? I re-set the IPad which lost all data etc, must be all the updates, how do I sort this?

When does the low memory error appear?

Do you clear out background tasks every so often

Double-Tap the HOME button until a series of running programs is displayed

Flick each running background application Up or Down off the screen.

Press HOME button to exit this mode

The low memory seems to only come on when I am playing WGT golf, guess it uses a lot of memory, it turns itself of shortly after, okay again when switched back on, yes I clear out often!

Uninstall everything you don't need. If you have a 16gb, this is common. Go to setting > general > usage (not sure about the path but pretty much it)

While what you say may be true only if the device is nearing the limit of free/available storage memory, lacking the additional memory to create run-time cache and/or temporary files.

OP, if the issue is specific to WGT then I would suggest you visit their forums and look for people discussing similar issues and solutions.

Hi AutoWate.
Please try un-installing the app again but then restart your device. After restart, install the app again and log in.

Restarting clears the latent data from the un-install so that when you install again, this data isnt reused. If you are still having issues, send a message to [email protected] so our Customer Service Dept. can assist. Thanks!
