champers Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 There's no shortage already, of course, but I'll start it off with Harry Ramsdens (fish & chips chain restaurant), just as long as they sold babbies eds.
Rajab Al Zarahni Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Chain store: John Lewis. Supermarket: Booths or Waitrose.
NickJ Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Costco.....with the same inventory and prices........
wpcoe Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Fry's Electronics and/or B&H Photo Not my home country, but: IKEA. I agree with the posters above that Trader Joe's and Costco would be nice.
loppylugs1 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Easy ,for the eastern US gourmet food experts Piggly Wiggly
Nice Boyd Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Costco, Hot Dogs Included,No Thai Dogs,Hebrew,Kirkland, Nathan, accepted,Pizza too
Jingthing Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Easy, Trader Joe's First thing that came to my mind too. Second one, a little more cheeky. http://www.goodvibes.com/main.jhtml GOOD VIBRATIONS On the food front, I would love to see a QDOBA Mexican chain food place open (rather than Chipotle).
ThaiBob Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Costco, Chipotle, Five Guys, Panda Express, InN Out, Bhphoto, BestBuy. They can add items for the local market but no subtractions. Costco all beef foot long hotdogs with free refills for 65 baht!

Boycie Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Any UK supermarket with their wine and beer promotions!
tolsti Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Nando's please! very surprised they haven't come here... Probably chicken supply problems. Scrawny Thai chickens won't do.
Tolley Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Easy, Trader Joe's First thing that came to my mind too. Second one, a little more cheeky. http://www.goodvibes.com/main.jhtml GOOD VIBRATIONS On the food front, I would love to see a QDOBA Mexican chain food place open (rather than Chipotle). I was in NY a couple of weeks ago and tried Chipotle. The serving size would feed a family of six in Thailand. I couldn't even finish half of it. Food was average to okay. I certainly wouldn't be racing back for it thou. I did like the Burger store Bare Burgers. I wouldn't mind seeing one of those in Thailand.
lou62 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Would love all of them (I'm English) but I'm all for choice the more places we have to go the better. Some may not know it but Cracker Barrel would do well.
avidflyer Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 QDOBA Mexican chain food would be nice but I suppose Jack in the Box would need to establish its self first. Carl's Jr. has a nice jalapeno burger, BTW.
uty6543 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 None. I was very disappointed when I first saw a Tesco here although they are an excellent retailer. I came to Thailand to enjoy a different life style with different foods.
masuk Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Fry's Electronics and/or B&H Photo Not my home country, but: IKEA. I agree with the posters above that Trader Joe's and Costco would be nice. There's no IKEA in the north. Many would like to see it, but nothing....
chicowoodduck Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 NONE!!! Why the hell would we ever want that shi* here in LOS....food stuff of the devil.......???
edd Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Any UK supermarket BUT with the UK stock. NOT Watered down range. I'm afraid places like Tesco must get a Thai to decide what to import into Thailand. WRONG. Just copy what you sell in the UK. We are the same people and Taste's here as their. This is not Rock science. So UK/US Supermarkets pull your finger out.
lgking Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Hooters is already here I believe in Phuket. Pattaya would be a natural. Aldi is the 'parent' company of Trader Joe's, but run nowhere as well as Trader's. Every time I visit an Aldi in Europe, I am highly disappointed. And British retailers such as Waitrose, Tesco, M & S...forget it. 50 years behind the times. When it comes to retail...nobody does it better than the Yanks.
