PATTAYA: -- Region 2 SWAT Police, Special Operations Officers, and Pattaya Police raided an all-night Karaoke Bar in South Pattaya on Friday Morning where drugs were found and many of those inside failed drug tests.

The raid took place at 10am at the Nick & Karaoke Bar in the Pratamnuk Hill area of South Pattaya. Long after it was due to close the party was still carrying on inside the venue which had almost 50 customers inside at the time.

Maybe they had been closed and just re-opened earlier than most ?

(Years ago I stayed in a hotel on Walking Street which is now a covered off area near the Arab section. The bars would turn off their music and lights at 6am and then turn them back on again at 10am. They didn't actually "close", just went quiet for a couple of hours. I think the hotel ended up closing because no one wanted to stay there !)

Must have been a popular venue if it had 29 male and 14 female customers at 10 am on a Friday morning.

SWAT is most likely the safest way to do it.

Do you realize how many Thais carry guns nowadays?

Walking into a dark party full of drugged up zombies, that might be packing guns & knives, and are

going to be well Pi**ed that there party is being crashed can be a dangerous game to play.

I do believe that the entertainment zone should be open 24 hours per day though, and let the market decide

wether it is worth it to open or not.

Tenants couldn't sleep there for over 1 month. It took SWAT team cause Pattaya Police didn't want* to get involved for some* reason.
We've been sending complaints everywhere. The Karaoke opened at 3 am and the walls were shaking up until 11 am.
If you think 191 is the phone number of police you may get in trouble. In most cases after 3 am - nobody picked up the phone at 191. Sometimes a guy would pick it up and say he is Chonburi and can't help))
If you want Soi 9 to come you need to call 038-424-186. Can't promise they will come but at least you will get to talk to someone in Pattaya.

Agree. That is definitely NOT the entertainment zone. Cosy Beach top of the Soi with 7 Eleven on the corner.
