I searched online for information about an L-A visa but couldn't find it. I know it's for foreigners wanting to work in Thailand.

What is it and what does it mean?

Non Immigration 'B' visas is what you need.

Working in Thailand isn't straightforward. To get a 'B' visa you need a job offer first so the Thai entity you're going to work for can supply the paperwork needed to get the 'B' visa and work permit.

is there some way to look up more information on this visa?

There is some but it is mostly in Thai. I have seen none on a immigration website other than a few forms.

You can find some info here in Thai. https://www.doe.go.th/prd/
