Recently, NancyL, who has been a driving force for LannaCareNet for donkeys' years, posted a brief reference to the organization. I haven't seen any references to it for a long, long time, so I checked the site out to find very little new information on the posted new site for the organization. Not much except old news of a February (if i recall accurately) workshop/seminar. That was some months ago.

So, for newbies on TV Chiang Mai (and there always are some), what is going on and who and how many people are involved on LanaCareNet staff, professionally qualified or just volunteers. Who is tending to it and how are they doing that? Is it a registered NGO? Are there annual reports and so on?

LannaCareNet was established a few years ago to fill a legitimate expatriate community need, so what is happening?

It's still around. We just haven't updated the website in a while. But calls and emails are tended to rapidly. Why didn't you just call, Mapguy?

We've been busy assisting people -- could you help out in updating the website for us?

I'm surprised you even bothered to reply, NancyL. Threads started for the sole purpose of attacking another member (is that a "thing" here now?) are pointless and juvenile.

He is looking for a new program to attack. He has finally given up on attacking immigration and LANNA care is now in his sights. Notice he was not one bit concerned with the services

it offer's. Just paperwork.

Now why is he asking that of the newcomers?

Some odd posts above! Anyway, it is good to read that things are apparently going well. The old website is actually quite well-done, in my view, and if the information is still good, then "newbies" can consult it. Some of them, however, might wonder what standing a "group of people" has. I myself haven't heard anything bad about LannaCareNet

Actually, the out of date thing is quite valid. When I'm surfing the web, if I come across a site that very obviously hasn't been updated for a little while, I (usually incorrectly) make the assumption that it has been abandoned and is just waiting for the hosting contract to end, after which it will be deleted.

(Not offering services or in any way criticising the excellent job that the folks at Lanna Care Network do, just making an observation.)

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

Good point. Like looking at someone's Facebook account and seeing the last photo posted was over a year ago. As I said, the small little band that keeps LCN together has been busy taking care of "incoming" and other activities. If someone would like to help update, please contact me.
