Shrouding Thailand in a facade of happiness won't hide reality

I'll take the shroud of happiness over the ridiculous excuse for government, there was with Yingluck. Democracy has a hard time with a country as corrupt as Thailand.

Long live the Prime Minister. I don't care if they ever have an election. Maybe a bit cynical, but this works.

Can you please tell me what is 'working' exactly?

99 % of the people don't care politics at all.

the 1 % are either pro Democracy yellow shirts or pro Thaksin red shirts. And if there is no big issue, like the power abuse of Yingluck and no money flow 90% of these fall asleep.

The remaining 0.1 % fill the newspaper but it had nothing to do with the general happiness which depends on the som tam quality and price of beer chang or iphone or if some politician interrupts the soap opera in TV.

Prayuth or Thaksin isn't a topic for many people

"His jokes and unsophisticated but affable personality might be endearing to some, but he cannot hide the tragic reality of what Thailand is today."

I think I underestimated Pravit - he's smarter than I thought. Good comment by him.

Seems the powers that be didn't like this article, as many on here thought. Pravit currently in custody.
