The idea I wanted to share today will I am sure be very familiar to many of your readers.

I call this “Worlds Collide”

For some time now I have observed Thai woman appear to have a few different worlds constructed.

Each world is completely separated from the others by an impenetrable vacuum and they must never collide.

One universe may be her marriage and some associated friends and relations.

She may have two or three universes of friends. Each is kept separate from the other, and she will never let the worlds overlap.

In addition she may well have a boyfriend and even a husband elsewhere.

Each world will be nicely self-contained and you would never suspect it existed.

For some reason this does not appear to be a problem to Thai women, and they do not consider this duplicit or even wrong.

Each universe is unique and she will be a completely different person with a different history.

So for instance I know one Thai lady who lives in Australia, and is working as a lady of the night.

She has a set of Lady of the night friends. She has a family and husband in Thailand, and to them she is studying and working in a tourist business.

She has a local benefactor / boyfriend who does not know either of the previous universes.

She has a set of friends in Bangkok who know what she does and another that does not.

They are never combined.

I find that nearly all Thai women I meet have these completely separate worlds and they happily switch between personalities.

What is of course important is that you Mr. Farang must never ever cause any two of these universes to collide.

If you ever do this you will face the most vicious angry person you are likely to meet.

So if you ever detect a separate world, and even if it affects you …. take my advice, walk away do not interfere.

It's a bit specific to a particular type of lady to be honest.

My wife is nothing like this, I get dragged to every event she goes to and complained at if I suggest she goes alone.

Pretty common. I met a very beautiful girl who for some reason decided to fall in love with me. Had three phones. One for familly and friends, me. One for her business here and one for international customers. I happened to meet her as a "normal" non working girl. I got the normal familly ph.number...............She confessed she only went with big money whales and mostly in Singapore. She wanted me to jump into her "familly compartment" and that I shouldnt worry about anything........In between her sobs she said she would only be gone sometimes........and I could have half the money when she moved in....The door did hit her on the a## on the way out.

I know what you mean. My wife seems to know every one. I have been asked by women I don't know where my wife is. She is a very talkative type and will talk to many different people.

Thais are masters in "Multi-tasking" . . how could it escape your attention? Thais love the practical way, which excludes morale. It has to be "Jai Dee". You have to accept you landed in a different world when you stepped out of the airplane.

Not sure what kind of women you guys are hooking up with. After 10 years of marriage to my Thai wife I simply cannot relate. There's a whole world of ladies out there you are missing. Seriously! Why hookers? Do you guys know that most Thai women are not in fact hookers? You are extrapolating from a pretty narrow and skewed sample if you are going to put all Thai women in that bucket! You need to clean up and hang out at some nicer places!

This generalization is falsified by my experience.

I am sure there are plenty of men and women who can be described by such activity, but there are plenty that do not fit. And I can't see the reason to make it about Thais, when you see the same sort of thing in every country.

I live and work with my wife, we are rarely out of contact. I don't know how she could manage to fit in a double or triple life
