PATTAYA: -- A female passenger in a car, travelling at-speed towards South Pattaya, was injured after the car she was in flipped onto its side as it was side-swiped by another car coming out from a side road.

The crash occurred at the north-end of Pattaya Third Road, in front of the Non Lor Restaurant and next to the entrance to Soi 9. The crash involved a Toyota Altis, driven by Khun Chawiwan aged 35 and a Toyota Vios, driven by Khun Tanyarat aged 25, and was witnessed by many.

Police determined the Toyota Altis had entered the main road but the driver failed to see the Toyota Vios travelling at=speed, along the main road towards South Pattaya. The Altis struck the Vios, which flipped onto its side.

I think that would be on its roof.

Depends on which way up it is when you get in. In the photo it has wheels on the roof. I've seen many just like it.

On the side.......the up side. tongue.png

I think that would be on its roof.

It does have to flip on its side before it gets on its top. biggrin.png

Must have been traveling at one hell of a speed to flip it like that

" Police are now investigating the crash and are currently speaking to both drivers and are examining CCTV to ascertain who they judge to be at-fault."

I would be curious to know if the CCTV shows whether the driver of the Toyota Altis had slowed down sufficiently to check for oncoming traffic before entering the main road? So many of them literally charge onto junctions as if they are the ones that have the right of wayblink.png

One car speeding, the other car driving like he is the only car on the road. Typical driving in LOS. Expected outcome is achieved.

In Europe the two drivers are at fault but here the one who has less money than the other is at fault cheesy.gif

Bloody good strong roof ,if it was a convertible passenger and driver would be headless. Just another Pattaya night I guess.

What about the one on the side at Chonburi highway 5km from Pattaya last tuesday, no reporting about that?
