Verizon Unlocked Samsung S6

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if a US unlocked Verizon Samsung or iPhone LTE will work in Thailand on the 3g or 4g bands?

Might buy one for the girlfriend but no point if the bands are not compatible. Anyone have a problem using a Verizon phone in Thailand?

Thanks!

I have bought a few Samsung's from the US to use in Thailand. Both Verizon and AT&T.

Obviously they need to be unlocked but they work fine on 3G networks.

Except for one small issue. US carriers generally block tethering unless you pay for a package that allows that. My experience is that the tethering block is embedded in the firmware so even when using the phone on another network (that doesn't block tethering) it is difficult or impossible to make it work.

I got my 2 unlocked Samsung phones from Amazon. Good prices also. Work great here and all over the world as they are quad band.
