Migrant crisis: Hungary poised to shut unofficial border crossings with Croatia

As scores of migrants continue to flow into Croatia, there are reports that Hungary could close its unofficial border crossings with the country this weekend.

Budapest has already fenced off its frontier with Serbia. That saw huge numbers of migrants switching their route, heading through Croatia instead.

As well as the possible closure of crossing points, Hungary has also been putting up razor wire along its frontier with Croatia.

“The problem must be solved in Turkey and Greece. Somebody said that the army should be sent to the Hungarian border with Croatia and Serbia. They should send ships to Greece,” said Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic.

Hungary has come under fire from larger western EU countries and rights groups for the actions it’s taken to keep migrants out.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban says the influx threatens to undermine the continent’s Christian roots.

Croatia has repeatedly said that it has been overwhelmed and that Serbia and Hungary planned to divert everyone to its territory.

Europe is screwed. The far-out left wingnut, PC, borderless Kumbaya people are running the train off the tracks. The citizens who care are powerless to stop it because they have become the subjects of "The Greater Good" idiots. How did Europeans allow themselves to become the subjects of anyone?

People are supposed to rule governments and not the other way around. Europe forgot that. The people are powerless by their own choices.

Can they see it?

Cheers.

"Hungary has come under fire from larger western EU countries and rights groups for the actions its taken to keep migrants out."

No,let's get this right: Hungary has come under fire from Western EU governments, in the face of their peoples who they no longer seem to represent or care about. The actual citizens are angry, afraid and frustrated.

I feel bad for the locals who normally use the border to go to work or shopping ,

and now having to stop at other EU borders ,

Anyone know which borders now have passport checks ?

there is no end to this until you send them back home , 1000s will keep coming for years to come if they feel like they will get to stay ,

Little wonder there's so much confusion, BBC is showing an interview with an EU official who says all migrants in Turkey should remain there until camps etc are sorted and they should not be allowed to move on to Europe.

How does that fit with his EU boss Junker and his sidekick Merkel's ' step this way, all are welcome ' ?

It's not just that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, the right doesn't know what it is doing !

Merkel and Juncker's intention was to "invite" a flood of migrants and then demand that all EU countries must take a share, and that this would be decided by EU and imposed as a quota. Of course, she wanted Germany to manage, control, and dictate that. And by doing so, would show the wisdom of having a more centralized EU government under a puppet like Juncker controlled, managed and dictated to by Germany. Of course, all decisions would be in Germany's interests but that would just be coincidence.

The swamp of people backfired and she laid low, closed Germany's borders, something she'd previously said no EU country could or should do, and pushed the problem to others. Now she's up again, telling everyone what the EU must do.

This Merkel government / Juncker EU administration agenda is very dangerous - they want to change Europe forever and don't care how they achieve that aim. The migrants are just a pawn.

If you are a Brit, and still care even a little bit for the country, be sure to get a postal vote for the Brexit referendum.
