October 16, 201510 yr Going to relocate from bangkok to chiang mai and have a scooter(Bangkok registred) that i will bring with me, Can i change the registration so its chiang mai registred once im there or i need to do it in bangkok? Thanks.
October 16, 201510 yr Why bother changing? Its in your name that's all that matters. I moved with a bike never changed anything till I sold it.
October 16, 201510 yr Yes you can change to Chiang-mai registration in Chiang-mai if you want ( don't think you can do it in Bangkok ) there is no legal requirement to change...you can pay tax and insurance anywhere. The only advantage is if you sell it makes it easier for the person who buys it from you if they also live in Chiang- mai / want to keep Chiang-mai plates... A lot of ( Thai ) people seem to like to keep Bangkok plates...as always "up to you"
