...if they dig deep enough they might find as high as 505% of 'successful' people have gained their assets illegally...

....a lot to seize......but never will....because then we will have to admit that there are a lot of dishonest...immoral people in Thailand...

...ask yourself how people earning 6,000-30,000/month can even afford a car and a house...in many cases several of each....

My son gets 30,000 a month. He has a car and has just purchased a 2.5 mil condo. Am I to believe he is dishonest and immoral?

He has learned to turn the water into wine. Maybe his wife is a connected Hi-So. Maybe he went to the casino in Cambodia and scored big time. Ah ha a winning lottery ticket is the answer.

Just comparing assets vs cash found. siezed and the amount of cash found just does not frit what we hear/ see about drug busts around the world in other countries, Cash required to mamufactor, rransport, resale drugs by so called ''kingpins'' are normally found on sums of closer to a billion in baht. 500,000 baht might be a sons weekly spending money, not finance for drug dealing. someone needs to get right in the middle of someones a.. either in the RTP or the drug organization as there appears to be a vast shortage of funds, and only 1 bank account????

You are an honest member of TV, and generally help others. However, honest factual replies like yours spoil the party for the bored shit vultures who have nothing to do but sit by watching for any chance to do more Thai knocking, trolling, picking on other members spelling or finding self gratification in their limited knowledge, humor and their frequently used modicons.

people who didn't manage to gain anything either legal or illegal way tend to speak like this...

People who over estimate themselves tend to answer like you

And what happens to the cash? Just asking.

officials mi nois all get new cars

With a seized bank account of B500,000, as reported, only one mia noi is likely to get a used BMW.

you realize thats only the official "reported" total ?

Okay all the assets have been seized according to the article. Seems to me the proper procedure would be to freeze the assets and then have a trial. Maybe things are lost in translation but it will be interesting if there is follow up on a trial where the accused are faced with the charges, tried, and convicted before assets are seized.

The real question is where is the money?

500,000 baht in cash is just a drop in the ocean in this sought of operation.

spent it on the sign behind the folks for the photo op.

Heard from a police friend, many times drug money is used to buy cars and bikes, hence you see police driving bmw or mercedes... quite obvious they can't keep that money in their account so its normally spend on goods instead
