I've just been speaking to someone who had heard that the Indian visa office in Bangkok had a sign outside saying that visas were only being issued for Thai nationals.

Has anybody had any recent experience of obtaining an Indian tourist visa in either Bangkok or Chiang Mai?

I thought for certain nationalites you could do the application on line these days ?

The online visa is only 30 days, for 3 and 6 months visas you have to apply in person. I just got a 6 month tourist visa in the UK and will be back in Thailand next month and will want another India visa from Thailand next year. Other friends are also asking about the same thing.

I hope I'm allowed one bump. I'll be back in Thailand next month but others here are curious to know.
