Any Machinist Jobs In Thailand?

Featured Replies

Help, Are there any machine shops in thailand that have cnc machines?

Looking for full-time employment as cnc machinist/programmer.

I have 30 years experience, which in thailand, is probably detrimental to me.

Since they seem to prefer younger workers.

Just thought I would give it a shot.

Thanks for any help.

Hi. You're right. The typical machinist here probably is lucky to make US $250 per month - if he works 25 days or more a month.

Working as a machinist is labor - and it is illegal for non-Thais to work as laborers here. So - you would need to work as a supervisor or manager.

'Sorry.

philliherb,

do you mean you developed the software. If so, I would contact the German Thai Chamber of Commerce as their were positions open before and they were posted on their website.

BTW: Indo-siam is right you have to be a supervisor or a manager as you couldn't work as a labourer.

A Thai CNC developer with a bachelor degree makes at least 20-25,000 Baht a month and I guess you must be very good in AutoCad?

You should try the UAE !

Thanks, for your help. Just testing the waters, but I guess I will be better off working in the US until I retire. This will only be 4 more years anywat.

Although, I would love to move to Thailand sooner.

I will checkout the German Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Thanks Asinah and indo-siam.

if you opened your own shop you might do ok, but it would only be a living.

It is never easy earning and living here, be warned if they can do it you will work for a pittance

there are many CNC machines around, I do not think they need operators.

If a big multi-national set-up shop I would think they may need someone with your experiance.

A shop by yourself might be fun and something to do , but at Thai wages you are not going to make a living,

I wonder how they even pay for the CNC machines !
