27 October (Tuesday) Wan Awk Phansa (End of Buddhist Lent). It has been announced for 2015 it will be a no alcohol day. Not a public holiday and banks open but a lot of ceremonies taking place.

I expect bars will be operating selling a very pale, fizzy "coffee".

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I did not find a "reference" source but "misc." sources that say it will be an alcohol ban day.

Nana Plaza closed etc.

It has not been the rule in the past that on Ok Phansa there is a ban, but seems this year it will be introduced as a "mandatory bar closure".
