Surplus Phillips LED's

Featured Replies

For reasons best known only to Mrs Chiang Mai I now find myself the proud owner of 14 Phillips LED light bulbs that are no longer needed, the fact is it was decided that the "warm white" looks better than the "cool daylight".

I have eight brand new, Phillips 9 watt, cool daylight bulbs AND six brand new, Phillips 7 watt, cool daylight bulbs (two have been used for about one hour).

PM me if you're interested in 50+% savings on these items.

i detest daylight bulbs. i cant understand why they are preferred in asia.

I prefer Daylight bulbs, warm white to me ,gives the house a dirty look, and

make the rooms feel hotter, all about perception, but its all up to the house

owner what they prefer.

The simple answer is h-e-a-t. The warm is hot - the cool is cool. And in Thailand it is cool to be cool (and also feels better most of the year).

Some say it resembles flouro-tube lighting in a Macca's though I prefer the Daylight. A soothing bluish tint. Still mostly using the mini-spirals.

Dimmable LED's are harder to source and I have not found ones with a good tint that don't flicker at certain levels.

there is no difference in the temperature the bulbs burn at, or if there is it is most certainly negligible especially where leds are concerned.

Color temperature is not about actual thermal radiation but a perceived characteristic of visible light. A subject of interest in interior design/lighting , photography, etc.

Yes, I was talking the appearance - flame is yellow = heat

Although there is indeed a lot of heat produced by the conversion of electric to LED light - but that has been true for any type.
