Can you not book online for VFS Bangkok a month in advance?

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Not ten minutes ago I've just completed the application for my GF on the visa4uk website. I have then attempted to select a date in December to book an appointment but no dates are available.

I am presuming that booking a month in advance is not possible because using the calendar on the website, it only allow me to select 4th-27th November. No further dates into December or 2016, not even 30th November.

Is this usual online? The only application I did online previously, we made an appointment the week after I completed it so I had no need to look into the next month.

Many thanks in advance

If you contact VFS using the e-mail system (same one used for a UK passport application) They are extremely helpful and will (in my case) help you out with whatever date you want. At first they seemed a bit confused as to why I wanted a date over a month away, it just seems like most applicants want an appointment ASAP.

Drop them a line, they are pretty quick to respond too.

When my sister in law applied she was offered dates over a similar period to you; but this was not a problem as, like most people, she wanted an appointment ASAP.

UK visas are usually valid from the date of issue, so if you want a later appointment because you want the visa to start later remember that you can always ask for a specific start date up to three months ahead.

So maybe make an appointment and then request a specific start date in the application and supporting letter?
