3 month visa to Australia..how to calculate dates, month to month ?

Featured Replies

Hi ,

Been granted visa a 3 visa to Australia for Thai gf. How do you calculate the dates...eg, arrive 2/2/16 leave 2/5/16 ? Or is it by weeks or days ?

Doesn't the visa have and issue date and an expiration date ?

I can't imagine any government document not having a date on it and just saying "three months"

Now, if you are wanting to determine the number of days or weeks, between dates here is a date to date calculator:

Thanks, I was after the date calculation. The link confirmed what I perceived to be correct so, thanks again. :-)

Here is a question a bit related. If plan another visit to AU you might indeed apply for 12 month multi entry. Each entry is valid for 3 months. Thing is it is not meant to allow someone to effectively do visa runs every 3 months and spend almost 15 months in Australia. Thing is no one seems to know the limit you could push to. Perhaps a simply added statement " total number of days in total is 180 " but there is no such requirement. Anyone with experience can comment?

The way I read the email advising of the visa conditions, it's a multiple entry for 12 months. Max stay 3 months each time. I only asked for a 3 month visa. I'll ask immigration when I arrive in Oz.
