Confused By So Many Posts

Featured Replies

29 pages of posts on the subject of visas, and read most, but still want to make sure I am not confused. Can someone tell me, based on my ininerary, if I will have have a problem when I leave thailand. Arriving on Nov. 22, leaving thailand on Dec. 28 for Vietnam, coming back to thailand on Jan 6th, leaving thailand on Jan 11th. Will I have a problem staying in thailand more than 30 days without leaving?

If you arrive with a tourist visa (60 day stay) and are from a country that gets 30 day entry without visa (which you use on return from VietNam) you should not have any problem.

You will get 30 days on arrival, anything over this you will need to leave Thailand and re-enter, or get an extension (but this should not be relied on)

You could apply for a tourist visa before you leave which will give you 60 days on each entry, which IMO would be the best idea.
