BANGKOK: -- "Tubtim VRZO", a Youtube star and wife of politician's son Pleum Leekpai, has been slammed for posting a photo of her car's speedometer that shows her apparently driving at almost twice the speed limit in Bangkok.

Mallika "Tubtim" Leekpai, 26, mostly known for being a host on popular YouTube channel VRZO, is being criticized on social media over the picture posted on Tuesday that shows her speed dial hitting 162kph.

The speed limit in Bangkok and other cities is 80kph, or up to 90kph on highways. It is unclear what kind of road Tubtim was travelling on.

"I'm in a rush!" the picture caption read, with the hashtags “Mom will scold at me if she sees this" and "Dad will smack me if he knows."

Typical Hi-So idiots.

They think they can do anything, giggle and get away with it.S

Similar to the young girl who supposedly texted to her friends that she "had killed some people 555" after she hit the minivan.

Thailand will never change.

Again, Thai netizens acting irresponsibly. I'm sure none of them drive in excess of the speed limits. Yes, she's a stupid spoiled child for posting it, like she is bragging, but this "Thai netizens are up in arms" thing has to stop. She pulled it down and apologized. BTW - a "youtube superstar", what a joke!

She should be fined at least, no?

Speed Channel on True has hosts that regularly take cars up to 180km/hr on highways while filming and talking about it.

Just highlights there is no connection between Hi-So and intelligence.

Oxygen thief.... So after that lo so woman in Krabi got blasted by the cops for her facebook video nasty, I wonder what this piece of work bimbo will get in the way of punishment from the BIB. I'm expecting some grovelling apology with wais and offers of merit making will all come in lieu of meaningful punishment

This woman has a narcissistic selfie obsession. I find such people worrying and tend to keep them at arm's length.

"This woman........"

Sorry Briggsy, but the female pictured at the start of the topic barely looks, to me at least, as if she has entered puberty let alone driven at 168KM/H.

If she was a woman as opposed to a little girl from a wealthy family, she might, just might appreciate that driving and taking snapshots is dangerous.

Let's hope mummy and daddy have spanked her bum and sent her to bed with no milk.

And no phone for selfies. ...

Please tell me which Bangkok roads are clear enough to reach 160 or 180 km/hr. I need to speed test my 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV.

Really? Do you have one of those here in Thailand? If so, I am truly envious. Always wanted to have one. It'll go around 185, BTW.

I don't get the people who want to write her behavior off as being "typical hi-so" or whatever. What percentage of Thais have hit similar speeds while chatting away on a telephone or texting? People need to quit finger pointing at the hi-so class like their stupidity is any different from the general stupidity of people in as a whole.

She is just like any other idiot teen or twenty-something social media attention whore who can only achieve self-worth via posting a totally unrealistic version of life that they hope others actually buy into. These people exist in every country and every culture everywhere in the world.

Welcome to the modern world gramps. You do realise that a lot of the top youtube channels have higher ratings than prime time TV. Also, VRZO has over 3 million channel subscribers.

When it comes to intelligence, Thai rich are complete idiots. They want something, send the maid to buy it. Have a problem? Daddy fixes it. The rich who live off their grandfather's money never have to think so never learn to be smart. Poor people who have nothing have to figure out everything from scratch, which takes much more intelligence. Most of Thailand's "beautiful and wealthy" couldn't hold a job at Tesco...

There are smart rich people and dumb rich people. There are even dumb poor people who become dumb rich people (Kardashians come to mind). There are poor dumb people who stay dumb and stay poor.

The point is that your financial wealth plays only a minor factor in whether or not you become an a-hole or your intelligence.

However, I do believe that people who demonize rich people simply because they are rich are saying much more about themselves than they are about the people they speak ill of.
