I bought Emborg for the first time last week after trying a few different brands over the last year and feeling disappointed with the after-taste. First taste of Emborg and I'm hooked on it.

It's probably pretty nice if it isn't rancid, but whenever I've bought it it's been... ancient. 

Never experienced that. I get mine from Max Value. They appear to have quite a turnover on their inventory. Trust everyone checks expiration dates before buying any dairy here.

Emborg and Lurpak have very similar labels.... but Lurpak is about twice the price!  I dont know why as they are very similar in taste.

 

Emborg is my backup butter if I cannot find Anchor (Or if Emborg is on special!).  Butter on hot toast always tastes better than margarine or buttery spreads IMO.  Especially when you put a good helping of pate' on top.

 

Probably not good for the arteries but then Id rather die happy by eating foods that taste good....
