Rector of Paris mosque Dalil Boubakeur angry at mistakes leading up to attacks

PARIS: -- In the shadow of the Great Mosque of Paris, one of the largest in France armed military patrol.

The rector Dalil Boubakeur has expressed sadness at the assaults in the French capital. But he is also angry and believes fundamentalism has existed in the country for a long time. Mistakes have made by everyone including faith leaders.

“We accepted them with open arms. There are hotbeds of Jihadism, of delinquency, of Islamism, of Salafism, and that includes mosques, places of faith, associations, and some Imams who are here to recruit those young people so that they can, step by step, lead them to a vision of violence and hostility against the west,” he said.

On Friday a planned rally, “say no to terrorism” has had to be cancelled. Public gatherings have been banned under the current state of emergency.

The country’s 2,500 mosques and prayer rooms have been asked to preach against terrorism.

As they say, better late than never, and the way the Muslim leaders are largely keeping quiet on the barbaric acts,

late is also good...

Aren't you easy? What makes you sure he didn't see on Friday that public gatherings are prohibited, then announced that a 'planned' rally, "say no to terrorism," had to be cancelled. This is how politics can work. Kind of makes you wonder how much time he might have spent in Thailand.

The only people to blame are the muslim terrorist's.

What makes a muslem terrorist? That is a question that has many answers

Lack of general world knowledge, blinkered education.

Actual weakness of external government bodies, by allowing pervasive Islamic elements to have a voice in non Islamic societies, and so poisoning the minds of uneducated Moslem people.

Actual weakness of Western governments (excluding Russia) to react to Islamic terrorism, or to be strongly proactive to deter Islamic terrorism. This is mainly due to our society relying on Oil/Gas from countries controlled by various forms of Islamic rule.

Percieved persecution by external societies.

Rejection of Islamic ideals by non Islamic nations, so deterring the assimulation into those societies by those who will not modify their beliefs to concur with the society they CHOSE to live in.

Not being able to question the holy book of Islam, in that what was written over a thousand years ago, is still applicable today. It was purportedly wriiten by an uneducated, violent warlord who wanted to conquer all before him. A definite thousand+ year plan. I could have worded this more strongly, but must be careful not to OFFEND too much.

Jealousy of western freedoms.

Stupidity.

And on and on.

I am still patiently waiting for these "moderate muslims" we are always hearing about

Why are they not demonstrating all over the world; why because in their heart of hearts they think the nut jobs are doing Allah's work

In Islam there is similar situation as in Christianity

- in Christianity you have Catholicism with a leader (Pope) who has authority to tell the Catholics what they should believe and do....and you have Protestantism without central leadership and many kinds of preachers - some appoint themselves - some of them are some peaceful and some of them are hateful (you remember the preacher who in Texas burned the Quran which caused the death of Christians in the Middle East?)

Regretfully some of the Popes have abused their authority severely to generate violence and to increase their own power (but this is not the case at present)

- in Islam you have the Shia branch with a leader (Ayatollah) who has the authority to tell the Shia's what they should believe and do....and you have the Sunni's without central leadership and many kinds of preachers - some appoint themselves - most them are peaceful but some of them are hateful (the Sunni Wahabi version of Islam is full of hate)

Regretfully some of the Ayatollah's have abused their authority severely to generate violence and to increase their own power (and this is the case at present)

The ongoing violence is a power struggle between violent and peaceful Islam and the violent believers get plenty of money to advance the political agenda of their leaders who think they are exclusive administrators of Allah on this planet : it will take many years - the end oil money in the Gulf - to stop this violence

That's exactly the problem.
Europe should expel immediately all violent, radical Islamists, preachers of hate and warmongers.
Our humanitarian laws have made europe to a breeding ground for potential terrorists.
The security services in Europe are aware of these persons.
What europe is still waiting for?
Throw them out under martial law!

The moderates are only going to take a stand and aid the authorities if they are absolutely certain Western nations are going to dismantle extremist networks brick by brick and intern every single extremist. To do otherwise invites death at the hands of said extremists. It is high time we enabled the moderates by disabling the extremists as well as wolves in sheep's clothing such as the Muslim Brotherhood and its associates.

I am so sick of this BS!

I take it, you are a white male of Christian upbringing?

Did you went public to condemn the actions of Anders Breivik?

So, you agree with him, right?!

Have you been publicly condemning the killings of 9 black people by Dylan Roof?

No? So you agree with him?

Have you been out every time some #$@%&* up moron kills an abortion doctor or nurse or torches an "abortion clinic" in the name of the Christian God?

No- so you are in agreement with these guys?

Have you been demonstrating in the streets of your town, every time, an US American- drone let rain hellfire down on some Muslim wedding, on the off chance to kill an Al Quaida- operative?

have you changed your facebook- profile, every time, ISIS or Boko Haram killed other Muslims by the tens and hundreds?

Or if you are actually Thai and Buddhist?

Have you demonstrated publicly, when Buddhist monks killed Muslims in Myanmar?

Why is it, that every Abdul, Mohammed or Emine has to publicly demonstrate, every time, some maniacs blows up some white, western people?

But every Joe, Bob and Sally always gets a free- pass, when these other things happen?

Any opinion on that?

If you search for their statements and reactions you should dig the news yourself. Strangely not a lot of newspapers relate the NUMEROUS condemnations from moderate Muslims and their representatives..

Preach against terrorism?? No chance of that happening, just do the simple thing and close them all down.

And you would advocate for closing down every Christian church, when ever some lunatic right- wing, Christian- fundamentalist or god-fearing white- supremacist does some $%#@&* up sh1t in the name of the Jesus, would you?!

...thought so...

As they should have closed all the Christian and Protestant chruches in Ireland, right?

Very interesting answer, and which give us a good idea of your capacity to discuss in a constructive way...

And by the way closing all mosquees would just make the prayers rooms harder to find and infiltrate to find possible threats...but I suppose you didn't think of that neither...

Ireland is still full of biggots and you don't seem to mention it...

Your typical answers on this thread just make the day of the Daesh terrorists, in fact you are playing their game quite well and they thank you for that coffee1.gif

You re not looking very well:

Blame the medias for not covering the demonstrations..

Thank you very much! It is good to see that there are some good one!

But look at the photos....a hand full and most of them from India, non from Arab areas. Demonstrations to protect whales would attract 10 times more people.

It is one of the few articles about this:

By looking for this i have found muslims demonstrations against daesh in :

Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel, europe, South America,....

The problem with the muslims demonstrations are also the fear they have to be targeted by the right wing nuts..a goal which is waited by Daesh, proving their dusgusting actions have worked : division, fear of each other, right wing rising,...
