November 20, 201510 yr Hi,my cat used the PVC on the scooter seat to sharpen her claws. Now I need a new PVC cover. Seen plenty of shops but not asked yet. I like to have a rough idea before I ask, so what do I have to expect?
November 20, 201510 yr Not a lot but if the seat is a little old it may be worth checking on what it costs at a bike shop to relace one. New foam makes things much more comfortable and it may be not much more.
November 20, 201510 yr "Seen plenty of shops but not asked yet. I like to have a rough idea before I ask, so what do I have to expect?" Sometime I think to my self, are those guys for real? it's not like you're buying a diamond ring or something, and how much can a recover of a seat can cost? like a million baht?
November 20, 201510 yr Author Thanks all for the answers. @ezzra I had no idea what is the normal price, because I asked here. I thought not more then 800-1000 THB for the task, now I know it is only around 250 THB. I don't haggle a lot, if I think the a quoted price is acceptable I accept it, otherwise I say Thank You and move on.
November 20, 201510 yr Get the whole seat remolded to suit you. Get a nice cover, nice stitching. Probably 500b or around.
November 20, 201510 yr Yes indulge the nether region. Get one of those vented mesh covers too. The boys will thank you. Cat resistant too.
November 20, 201510 yr Or if you want to go all the way make it a white color cover, easy to spot where you have parked your scooter and it won't burn your boys when you park it in the sun.

We bought a Fino with a beige seat, the material didn't like UV and perished a little after 6 months, no idea why. It was cool to the bum though.
