Least expensive way to connect ipad to TV

Featured Replies

Apart from Apple's Digital AV adapter and Apple TV, are there any other options? Specifically are there companies that make a copy of the adapter for cheaper and where can I find one? I live in Pattaya. Thanks in advance.

Do a lot of research and check with other farangs. Be super careful with websites offering you a solution as there are spoilers, lots of scams. Good luck.

Depending on your type of TV if like mine it's a smart TV mine is connected wirelessly with the aid of air pin pro app.

If you can only connect with a cable I'm sure you will find a cheaper replica cable at many of the shopping malls in Pattaya.

Easiest way (assuming you have WIFI) is Apple TV but a cheap android box will do the same thing.

I'd recommend the Minix X series, not the cheapest but really good at streaming from the Internet.

I'm sure you could install something on an old desk/laptop you might have, but by far the easiest way is to use airdrop on an Apple TV.

check Lazada 467 Baht

I you want wireless, get a Chromecast and you can send any screen on your iPad to your TV. I have 3 on 3 TV and i can select where I want my iPad to connect.

Use Apple TV ... the previous model, not the new model. It's very well priced. Or save a few bucks and endanger your TV and iPad.

I think you can do it with chromecast. Youtube anyway.

Thanks for all the replies. Chromecast sounds like a good option. Does anyone know where in Pattaya to find one? Also is 3300baht for the old Apple TV a decent price or can I do better? They are selling for $69 in the States.

What I usually do is have it sent to a friend in the US, then mailed to me USPS as a computer part value $22.00. t takes 7 days via air mail and never any duty or tax.

I just received 3 additional Chromecasts using the above method without a hitch.
