As only 0.8% complained about having to wait up to six months for a decision this is taken as an indicator of contentment with the service provided. Perhaps should be re-written that would not be bothered with a complaint as it was not worth the effort.

Some signs that the six month 'target' for settlement visas is to be shortened.

Not particularly hard hitting as reports go and does not reflect the real dissatisfaction many feel when a postal application takes six months and the decision making a few hours at most!

I haven't read the report yet, will do when I have more time.

But one comment; the actual processing of an application may only take a "few hours at most" (probably a lot less!) but how long does it take a postal application to reach the decision maker?

I imagine, that like the processing time for visas, most of the time is spent getting to the top of the pile!

It all depends on how many decision makers there are and how many applications are received. Not many and a lot, I suspect!
