Kodi Stop Keyboard Shortcut X Android TV box equivalent?

Featured Replies

I only recently found out that pressing a keyboard short cut "X" whilst running Kodi on a PC that is stuck (revolving circle) trying to connect to a source that never will connect stops the activity instantly and enables me to continue with Kodi.

How do I do the same on an Android TV box with Kodi and just a remote pointy thing? Can it only be done with keyboards?

Appreciate any feedback guys.

I'd like to know as well. Pressing the back button does nothing.

Do you have a remote key that goes absolutely unused?

The software on the 'hardware system' that monitor/interprets the remote control key presses might possibly be edited to give you the 'x' key.

Or a 'hook' program could be installed to listen for and intercept the original key press and send an 'x'.

Or...

Kodi users can customize keymaps for remotes in GUI by using the community Keymap Editor add-on.

Thanks Richcor for the feedback. I'll give it a try when I get time. Good to have your links as a reference. smile.png
